How to play
Safari Ranger
You're a ranger with a camera, a 4×4, and three hearts. Find the Lodge for the day's briefing, hunt down the hidden tracker map, photograph every target species — and try not to wake the leopards.

Find the Lodge. Get your briefing.

Every level hides a Ranger's Lodge. There are no targets on your HUD until you find it. Walk inside, head to the map on the wall, and open it to receive that day's briefing — the species you need to photograph to clear the level. Mission animals only start moving after the briefing.
Lodges glow at night and always have a road leading to them.
Pick up the tracker map

Once you've taken the briefing, a rolled parchment tracker map spawns somewhere on the level. Walk over it and every remaining target species pulses as a red lion paw print on your minimap — even in unexplored bush.
Paws respect the time of day. Nocturnal-only species don't show in full daylight; diurnal species hide at midnight. At dawn and dusk, every paw shows.
Photograph the targets
After your briefing the target species appear in your HUD. Photograph every one and the level ends. Bonus points for sweet-spot range, good framing, and snapping animals before they spook. Every species you photograph is permanently added to your Free Ranger spawn pool.

START OF LEVEL

CAN RUIN YOUR DAY
Get too close to a buffalo, lion, hippo, rhino, elephant or a riled-up hyena and they will charge. Each hit costs a heart. Lose all three and the run ends. Stay in your vehicle near dangerous game — engine noise warns them off before they trigger.
Hunt the hidden Workshops

On levels 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 a bush Workshop hides a special vehicle parked out front. Step out of your current ride, walk up to the parked one, and a pop-up confirms it's been added to your Garage — permanently. The Scrambler and Quad bike share a workshop and unlock together.
Workshops glow like the Lodge after dark. No stars, no shop — just find them.
Earn your stars
Survive & finish
Tick every target before you run out of hearts.
Frame your shots
Sweet-spot range, good composition, animal alert but not bolting.
Explore & race
Uncover the map and beat the level's par time for the speed bonus.
Day, night & twilight
Sun's up
Plains game grazes in the open. Eagles and vultures soar. Big cats laze on rocks.

Twilight overlap
Every species is active at once. Your best window to photograph the rare ones — and the tracker map lights up every paw print at the same time.

After dark
Hyenas hunt in packs. Civets, genets and bushbabies appear. The eagle-owl glides between kopjes. Use your headlights.

Watch the acacias

Leopards (and other shy animals) hide in acacias. A tail dangling from the canopy by day, or glowing eyes at night, give them away. Snap the shot the moment you spot the rustle — stray too close and they'll burst out on top of you.

The garage
Each vehicle has its own speed, off-road grip and engine noise — quieter rides spook less wildlife. Find them at the bush Workshops on milestone levels.

Birds of prey and small nocturnal mammals join the reserve. Photograph them in the campaign to unlock them in Free Ranger mode.

Free Ranger mode
Free Ranger is endless, randomly seeded patrols with no timer and no required targets. Every species you've photographed in the campaign joins the spawn pool — so it grows from 14 (early game) up to all 44 once you've cleared level 50. Pick a duration, roll a world seed, and roam.

Surprise around every corner
Levels unlock in batches of ten. Beat 1–10 (and try Free Ranger once) to reveal 11–20. Beat 20 to reveal 21–30. The next ten are always a surprise — and so are the species, terrains and vehicles you'll find inside them. Finish Level 50 for a finale screen — and a celebratory ride.
